PUR on body flange

PUR on body flange
- After the window has been removed, the surplus PUR glue on the body flange must be removed using H cleaner.

Caution! Do not use any cleaner other than H cleaner: Other cleaning agents affect the adhesion.

- If the surface is uneven, a chisel with width approximately 13 mm / 0.5 in may be used to even out the remaining PUR bead.
- Do not touch the PUR bead with your hands. Grease on PUR can cause adhesion problems.

Plate work
- If some of the window frames have been painted, the body flange must be coated with paint primer (Component number 1161386).
- If 2-component glue is used, the window must be in place within 10 minutes .
- Ensure that the bead is continuous without break, otherwise the joint will not be tightly sealed which will result in water leakage.
- Always open a side window when replacing a window, otherwise the window may fall out of position when the door is closed.
