Signal too high. Intermittent fault

Checking the component and wiring








- Switch off the ignition. Wait 10 seconds
- Disconnect the connector from the seat belt buckle
- Disconnect the connectors from the central electronic module (CEM).

Caution! Avoid touching the terminal pins in the control module. There is a risk of static discharge which could damage the control module.

Check the connectors for the seat belt buckles and the central electronic module (CEM). Check for damage to pins and terminals.
Also check the other connector which connects the wiring between the seat belt buckle and the control module.
Remedy as necessary.
Check the wiring between the central electronic module (CEM) and the seat belt buckle connector. Check for a short-circuit and/or an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.








- Ignition off.
- Connect the connectors, install the components, etc.
- Ignition on.
Check that diagnostic trouble code status changes from permanent to intermittent.
