Symptom and function description
The power windows are operated using the switches in the doors.
The control panel in the driver's door manages the functions for the electric power windows in all doors, child locks in the rear doors and the central locking.
The control panel in the passenger door manages the functions in the passenger doors and the central locking.
The control panels in the rear doors manage the power windows in the respective rear door.
Power windows work in ignition positions I and II. After driving and after the ignition key has been removed, the windows can still be opened or closed, as long as none of the front doors is open.
Manual operation
Press the control down slightly or pull it up slightly. The power windows go up or down for as long as the control is affected.
Automatic control
Press the control down fully or pull it up fully, and then release. The side windows then open or close automatically.
Note! The automatic up function on the passenger side is only available on certain markets.
Using the control panel for the central locking at the door opening handle, all doors and the boot lid can be locked or unlocked at the same time.
Child lock can be activated in ignition positions I and II by pressing the button in the control panel.
When the LED in the button illuminates, the rear power windows are locked.
When the child locks are activated, the power windows can only be operated from the control panel in the driver's door.
Verification
Access to the vehicle is necessary for the following checks.
- Ignition on.
Check the function of the relevant control panel buttons.
Check that the control responds as expected.
