Description of Frozen Values, SAS

Description of frozen values

General
Frozen values are parameter values that are stored when a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.
The steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) must be initiated before values can be read off. Initiation is carried out by turning the steering wheel more than 5° in either direction.

Steering wheel angle
The value displays the steering wheel angle in degrees.
0° = Steering wheel in the straight forward position
1° - 720° = Angle of the steering wheel when turning to the left
-1° - -720° = Angle of the steering wheel when turning to the right

Steering wheel angle speed
The value displays the steering wheel turning speed in °/second.
Measurement range: 0-255°/secs.

Steering direction
The value indicates in which direction the steering wheel is turned.
The values displayed arerightandleft.

Power supply
The value indicates battery voltage at the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS).
Measurement range: 5 - 15 V

Engine, running
The value indicates the status of the engine when the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.
OFF = Engine not running.
On = Engine running.

Passenger compartment temperature
The value indicates the passenger compartment temperature when the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored. The transmission control module (TCM) obtains the value via the controller area network (CAN) from the central electronic module (CEM). The value is given in °C.

Outside temperature
The value indicates the outside temperature when the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored. The transmission control module (TCM) obtains the value via the controller area network (CAN) from the central electronic module (CEM). The value is given in °C.

Battery voltage
The value displays the voltage the first and last times the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored. The transmission control module (TCM) obtains the value via the controller area network (CAN) from the central electronic module (CEM). The value is given in volts (V).

Mileage
The value indicates the total mileage of the car at the time the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored. The transmission control module (TCM) obtains the value via the controller area network (CAN) from the central electronic module (CEM).
