Carphone handset holder
- Remove the panel in front of the gear selector lever. Pry off the panel using a plastic weatherstrip tool.
- Remove the screw (1) from the front mounting on the passenger side of the centre console.
- Take the bracket out of the kit. Secure the bracket on the front mounting on the passenger side of the centre console. Use the existing screw.
- Place the handset holder along the panel for the gear selector lever on the passenger side. Mark up and clean the area where the tape for the handset holder will be applied
- Take the wet wipe from the kit. Wipe the area clean. Dry the area.
- Remove the backing from the double-sided adhesive tape on the handset holder.
- Reinstall the panel in front of the gear selector lever
- Pry up the end of the bracket for the handset holder slightly (A). Slide the handset holder on to the bracket. Press the holder down as far as possible until the hook on the underneath of the holder engages (B)
- Press the rear edge of the holder down so that the tape fastens securely. Allow to harden for 24 hours before using the handset holder.
- When securing the handset in the holder: Slide carphone into the front edge of the holder. Press forward slightly until the spring engages. Then press the rear edge down. When detaching the handset: Press the handset forward. Then pull upwards.
- When using the handset with the holder installed on the passenger side of the gear selector lever. Pull the carphone cable out of the centre console locker as illustrated.
- When removing the handset holder: Lift the holder at the rear edge until the tape releases. Insert a small screwdriver in the hole on the handset holder. Press down with the screwdriver to release the catch (A). Pull the handset holder backwards. Ensure that the screwdriver does not scratch the panel when pulling the handset holder backward. When removing the bracket for the handset holder, refer to points 1-3.
