Parameters, status
Status, alarm (Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus)
This parameter indicates how the phone module (PHM) sees the status of the alarm.
This parameter is used by phone modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus functionality. If the car alarm is triggered, for example during a theft attempt, information about the status of the alarm from the upper electronic module (UEM) to the phone module (PHM) via the central electronic module (CEM). The phone module (PHM) then transmits vehicle data to the Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus Service Center which contacts the owner and informs him what has happened.
Alarm status 1 = the alarm has been disarmed with sensors
Alarm status 2 = the alarm has been armed with sensors
Alarm status 3 = the alarm is armed without sensors (reduced alarm)
Alarm status 4 = triggered alarm with sensors
Alarm status 5 = triggered alarm without sensors
Alarm status 6 = the alarm has been disarmed with sensors
Status, lock (Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus)
This parameter indicates how the phone module (PHM) sees the status of the lock.
This parameter is used by phone modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus functionality.
Unknown = the phone module (PHM) does not know the status of the lock
Unlocked = the vehicle is unlocked
Locked from the inside = the vehicle is unlocked from the inside
Locked from the outside = the vehicle is unlocked from the outside
Antenna signal (Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus)
The parameter indicates whether the phone module (PHM) is using the external or internal antenna.
This internal antenna is a spare antenna and is only available for phone modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus functionality.
The spare antenna is only used in the event of a collision or if the alarm is triggered and the standard antenna is not functioning.
Internal antenna = the internal spare antenna is used
External antenna = the external antenna is used
Volvo On Call activated (Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus)
The parameter indicates that the phone module (PHM) is activated for Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus.
No = Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus is not activated
Yes = Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus is activated
Steering wheel keypad, volume -
The parameter indicates whether the phone module (PHM) recognizes that the volume - button on the steering wheel is pressed in or not.
This signal is used to control the loudspeaker volume during hands free usage.
Not pressed = the steering wheel button is not pressed in
Pressed = the steering wheel button is pressed in
Steering wheel keypad, volume +
The parameter indicates whether the phone module (PHM) recognizes that the volume + button on the steering wheel is pressed in or not.
This signal is used to control the loudspeaker volume during hands free usage.

Pressed = the button is pressed in
NO button
The parameter indicates whether the phone module (PHM) recognizes that the NO button is pressed in or not.

The parameter indicates whether the phone module (PHM) recognizes that the CLR button is pressed in or not.

GSM IMEI number (markets with GSM only)
This parameter displays the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identification) of the phone module (PHM).
The parameter will not be a valid value for non GSM phone modules (PHM).
Hint: GSM market phone modules (PHM) have a SIM card cover.
The IMEI number can also be read off from the text window for the driver information module (DIM). To do this, enter *#06# on the keypad for the phone module (PHM).
AMPS Electronic Serial Number (market with AMPS only)
This parameter displays the ESN (Electronic Serial Number) of the phone module (PHM).
The parameter will not be a valid value for non AMPS phone modules (PHM).
ESN is used by the operator to connect the subscription to the customer.
Capacity of the emergency battery (Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus)
This parameter indicates the remaining capacity of the internal emergency battery. The emergency battery is only available for phone modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus functionality.
The emergency battery is only used when activating the Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus service and if there is no power supply.
The remaining capacity is calculated by the phone module (PHM).
Measurement range 0-100%.
100% is full capacity.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) stores a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) when the capacity drops to 30%.
- 0% corresponds to 0 minutes call time
- 10% corresponds to approximately 5 minutes call time
- 20% corresponds to approximately 10 minutes call time
- 30% corresponds to approximately 15 minutes call time
- 40-50% corresponds to approximately 20 minutes call time
- 60% corresponds to approximately 30 minutes call time
- 70-100% corresponds to more than 30 minutes call time.
VIN (Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus)
This parameter displays the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) programmed in the phone module (PHM).
This parameter is used by phone modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus functionality.
If an incorrect VIN is programmed in the phone module (PHM), the activation and deactivation code for the Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus subscription will not work.
GPS Received position, latitude (Volvo On Call / Volvo On Call Plus)
This parameter is used by phone modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus functionality.
This parameter displays the latitude of the last received position of the vehicle.
The Phone Module (PHM) transmits the signal together with other vehicle data when an ON CALL or SOS service is activated.
GPS Received position, longitude (Volvo On Call / Volvo On Call Plus)
This parameter is used by phone modules (PHM) with Volvo On Call/Volvo On Call Plus functionality.
This parameter displays the longitude of the last received position of the vehicle.
The Phone Module (PHM) transmits the signal together with other vehicle data when an ON CALL or SOS service is activated.
AMPS signal strength (markets with AMPS only)
This parameter indicates the signal strength for AMPS phone modules (PHM).
Measurement range -150 to -50 dB.
The value of the signal strength depends on the coverage and geographical location of the vehicle.
The value for normal coverage/reception should be approximately -85 to -75 dB.
GSM signal strength (markets with GSM only)
This parameter indicates the signal strength for GSM phone modules (PHM).
Measurement range 0 -31.
The value of the signal strength depends on the coverage and geographical location of the vehicle.
The value for normal coverage/reception should be approximately 20-25.
