The following trouble-shooting ONLY applies to cars intended for the German market.

Is the test relevant?

Yes - Checking the relay

No - No Fault Found

Checking the relay
Check relay 2/83 operation by activating and deactivating the relay several times. The relay is working if a clicking noise is heard when activating and deactivating.
If the relay is not working, replace it with a new relay.

Is there a fault?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Checking the wires and components

Checking the wires and components
Check that shunt 20/29 is undamaged. The resistance between the shunt pin is 0 ohm to 5 ohm depending on between which pin the measurement is taken.
Check the wire between relay 2/83 3 and left and right lower lamp body connector 3A for an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault and short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check wire between left and right upper lamp body connector 4A and ground point for an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check that the fuse 11D/2 is intact.
Do the necessary corrective action.
