Signal Too High. Intermittent Fault
Signal too high. Intermittent fault
Checking the wires and components
Check that relay for "Rear fog lamp" (location 2/49) is correctly installed.
At the same time, check the relay connections, in particular 2/49, for an intermittent short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault or contact resistance and oxidation as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults and a loose connection as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults
Additional information:
- For information on signals and additional values, see Signal specification Signal Specification.
- To connect the test box, see Connecting the breakout box Connecting Breakout Box, Rear Electronic Module (REM).
- To access the control unit, see Integrated relay/fusebox cargo compartment/Rear electronic module (REM), replacing Integrated Relay/Fusebox Cargo Compartment/Rear Electronic Module (REM), Replacing.
- When relay is installed and activated, relay control voltage ( 2) should be 0 V.

Fault-tracing information
If the fault is intermittent, do not verify fault-tracing if the fault does not recur.
It is possible to view the information again, or leave fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
Do you want to view the information again?
Yes - Attempt New Test
No - Exit fault-tracing
