Checking The Wiring And Component







- Ignition off.

Check ground terminal 31/6 at the A-post. Check for contact resistance and oxidation. See Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.

Check the communication cable between gear selector control module terminal #2 and transmission control module (TCM) terminal #B21 (#B31). Check for an open-circuit. See Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.

Check the 6-pin connector and connector 54/3RF (passenger compartment cable harness-engine compartment cable harness). Check for damage to the terminals and pins.

Check the cable between the gear selector module (GSM) terminal #6 and ground terminal 31/6. Check for an open-circuit. See Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent faults.

Replace the circuit board in the top panel if no fault is found in the wiring or connectors.
