Sun roof, replacing

Removing the sun roof




Ignition off.




Remove the key.

Note! The key must be removed to ensure that the ignition is not switched on by mistake.

Note! After the key has been removed: Wait one minute before starting work.

Remove:
- the headlining. See Headlining, replacing Headlining, Replacing
- the connector
- the drainage. See Drainage Service and Repair




- the 8 screws, and 4 spacers, for the gutter frame.

Note! Note the position of spacers and screws and the various thicknesses and lengths.

Lift the sun roof down and out.

Installing sun roof

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications [1][2]Body and Frame.





Hint: Install the screws, the spacers and the nylon washer for the gutter frame before installation.

Install:
- the screws, 4 x M6*25 (position 1 and 2)
- the screws, 4 x M6*14 (position 3 and 4)
- the spacers, 4 x 20*6, 5*10 mm (position 1 and 2).
Lift the sun roof. Place the sun roof in position.
Tighten.

Install:
- the drainage. See Drainage Service and Repair
- the connector.
Adjust. See Sun roof, adjusting Adjustments.
Install the headlining. See Headlining, replacing Headlining, Replacing.
Check for leakage. See Sun roof, leak test Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
