Removing right engine pad
Raise the car.
Remove
- right front wheel.
- both plastic nuts and reinforcement panel holding cover in right fender liner. Bend fender liner out of the way.
- the crankshaft vibration damper.
- four screws for right engine pad.
Position a mobile jack with universal plate 999 5972 FIXTURE 999 5972 Fixture under oil pan on right-hand side of engine.
Check that the plate does not catch in the sub-frame.
Carefully lift engine slightly so that the engine pad can be removed.
Installing right engine pad
Install
- the new engine pad.
- new screws for the mounting in the sub-frame (A) and engine (B). Do not tighten yet.
Carefully lower the engine and remove mobile jack.
Tighten the screws to the sub-frame to 65 Nm (47.9 lb.ft) and angle-tighten 60°. Use bevel protractor 951 2050 BEVEL PROTRACTOR 951 2050 Bevel Protractor.
Tighten the screws to the engine to 35 Nm (25.8 lb.ft) and angle-tighten 90°.
- the crankshaft vibration damper. Tighten to 35 Nm (25.8 lb.ft). Angle-tighten 50°.
- both the plastic nuts holding the cover in the right fender liner.
- right front wheel according to Installing wheels Service and Repair.
