Fault identification
Select the alternative corresponding to the fault.
1. The switch for the front fog lamps does not work
2. The switch for the fog tail lamps does not work
3. It is not possible to change between parking lights and low beam.

Checking the switch for the front fog lamps
Read off the front fog lamps.
Operate the switch for the front fog lamps.
Other information
- With the front fog lamp on the value should be "on".
With the front fog lamp switched off the value should be "off".
Is the function OK?
Yes - FAULT FOUND
No - Replacing component

Read off the fog tail lamps.
Operate the switch for the fog tail lamps.
Other information
- With the fog tail lamps on the value should be "on".
With the fog tail lamps switched off the value should be "off".
Is the function OK?
Yes - FAULT FOUND
No - Replacing component

Checking the switch for the low beam and parking lamps
Read off the switch signal.
Turn the switch to all positions.
The light switch sends the status of switches to the central electronic module (CEM). In event of a non permissible combination on the light switch "Non permissible" is displayed at the read out.
Does the switch function?
Yes - FAULT FOUND
No - Replacing component

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates that the light switch is defective.
Replace the light switch.
