Checking the connectors




- Ignition off.
Check rear electronic module (REM) and left and right boot lighting connector for contact resistance and oxidation as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault and loose contact as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check especially for damage.
Do the necessary corrective action.

Is there a fault?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Checking the wires and components

Check the fuse 11D/1 is intact.
Check the wires between rear electronic module (REM) B22 ( E2) and left and right boot lighting 2 for an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault , short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault and short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check ground wires between left and right boot lighting 4 and ground point for an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the wire between fuse 11D/1 2 and rear electronic module (REM) B26 ( E6) for an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault and short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Do the necessary corrective action.

- When the boot lid is open, the voltage between the left and right boot lighting 2 and ground will be approximately 12 V.
