Checking the 30-supply
Check fuses 11A/4 and 11C/25.
Check the power cable between fuse 11A/4 and fuse 11C/25 for an open-circuit or a short-circuit to ground.

Hint: If the VCT2000 is connected and the green LED lights then fuse 11A/4 is OK.

Remedy as necessary.

Check the power cable between fuse 11C/25 and the start switch terminal #30 for an open-circuit or a short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.

Checking the 15-supply
- Ignition switch position II.
Check that there is contact between start switch terminals #30 and #15.
- Ignition switch position III.
Check that there is contact between start switch terminals #30 and #15.
Check that there is 15-supply from the start switch during the vehicle start attempt. Check the power supply from start switch terminal #15.
If a fault is found during the above fault tracing, replace the start switch.
If no fault is found, check the signal cable between start switch connector #15A and:
- engine control module (ECM) #B37
- central electronic module (CEM) #3B
- relay 2/31, central electronic module (CEM) #2
- Immobilizer antenna unit #1
- supplemental restraint system module (SRS) #28B for open-circuit or short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.

Other information:

- For connection of breakout box to central electronic module (CEM): Connecting the breakout box Connecting the Breakout Box, Central Electronic Module (CEM).
- For connection of breakout box to supplemental restraint system module (SRS): Connecting the breakout box Connecting the Breakout Box, Supplemental Restraint System Module (SRS).

- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Start the engine.
