Condition







The control modules communicate with each other in a network via a standardized serial communication procedure - CAN (Controller Area Network) - for exchange of information. Control modules transmit and receive information. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) AUM-E001 is stored if the control module registers that that there is no communication or that it is distorted.


NOTE: In the event of system communication problems it is not possible to communicate with the control module. Therefore it will only be possible to read off the fault if it is intermittent.

- CAN communication blocked.

- Defective control module.

Fault symptom[s]
- The carphone mute on the audio unit does not function.
- The rheostat function on the audio unit does not function.
