Volvo On Call Plus, activation

Activating Volvo On Call Plus
The following procedure applies when activating a new subscription.
1. Before activation can occur, the customer contract must have been filled in and the customer data must have been entered into the VOCP database at the Customer Service Center (via the WEB).

The contract is at the dealer and can be ordered from Volvo Cars North America.

To enter customer data into the VOCP database at the Service Center, you must be logged in with administrator privileges

2. From the desktop, click on the "VOCP WEB" icon
3. Select Customer Administration Menu
4. Select Create New to enter the customer data
5. Find the correct car using the VIN of the car or the customer's name
6. Select Activation from the menu
7. Activate the system.
8. Ensure that the customer presses the ON CALL button to make the second call to the VOCP Service Center. The VOCP Service Center confirms to the customer that the subscription is active and asks for a personal password.

Volvo On Call Plus, new customer or reactivation
The following procedure applies both to activating for a new customer and to re-activating an expired subscription.

Re-activation is required when "On Call Plus Deactivated" appears in the driver information module (DIM) display and the customer wishes to renew the subscription.

Activation for a new customer is required when a subscription has been cancelled due to a change of owner and the new customer wants a subscription to Volvo On Call Plus.

1. Before activation can occur for a new customer, the customer contract must have been filled in and the customer data must have been entered into the VOCP database at the Customer Service Center (via the WEB).
Administrator privileges are required to enter new customer data or to activate a previously expired subscription
2. Find the correct car using the VIN of the car or the customer's name
3. Select "Customer Administration Menu" from the menu
4. Select "Edit" to change the customer information or to extend the subscription
5. Activate the system.
6. Ensure that the customer presses the "On Call" button to make the second call to the VOCP Service Center. The VOCP Service Center confirms to the customer that the subscription is active and asks for a personal password.

Volvo On Call Plus, extending the subscription
When a subscription for Volvo On Call Plus is almost finished, the customer will be informed that it needs to be extended. "On Call Plus will soon expire" is displayed in the driver information module (DIM) display each time the car is started. The message is first displayed 30 days before the end of the subscription. The customer will be contacted by VOCP Service Center about extending the subscription before it ends. The VOCP Service Center will send a new Activation code to the customer if the customer wishes to extend the subscription.

The customer can then enter the activation code to extend the subscription.

If the customer needs help extending the subscription, use the information about the new Activation code which the customer received from the VOCP Service Center. Or: If the customer does not have this information with them proceed as follows:
1. From the desktop, click on the "VOCP WEB" icon
2. Find the correct car using the VIN of the car or the customer's name
3. Select Activation from the menu
4. Print the page or make a note of the new activation code.

NOTE: Check the expiry date to check that this is the new activation code.

Activation procedure when extending the subscription
Enter the new activation code according to the following or inform the customer that the following steps must be taken to extend the subscription. Notify the customer that the new activation code must be entered before the current subscription period ends. Otherwise the subscription will end and the Volvo On Call Plus services will not be available. If this happens, "Volvo On Call Plus Deactivated" will be displayed in the driver information module (DIM). If this should happen, follow the instructions for Activation procedure for Volvo On Call Plus.

Entering a new activation code before the subscription has ended:
1. Key position 1
2. Phone module (PHM) on (the green LED must be on). Press the ON button to activate
3. Press the YES button to activate the carphone menu selection
4. Press the right button (]]) seven times. The "On Call Plus" menu will be displayed in the driver information module (DIM)
5. Press the YES button
6. Press the right button (]]) four times. "ActivationCode" is displayed
7. Press the YES button
8. Enter the new activation code
9. Press the YES button
10. The Volvo On Call Plus subscription has now been extended to the expiry date paid for by the customer.
