Checking the interior lighting (1)

Checking components and wiring

Control module and rear reading lamp module
Check the cable between control module terminal #15 and rear reading lamp module terminal #2. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the cable between control module terminal #14 and rear reading lamp module terminal #6. Check for an open-circuit.

Control module and roof lamp module
Check the cable between the control module terminal #8 and roof lamp module terminal #2A. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Control module and right / left vanity mirror lighting
Check the cable between control module terminal #8 and right / left vanity mirror lighting terminal #1. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Check the cable between control module #20 and right / left vanity mirror lighting #3. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.
If no fault is found, try replacing the module that is malfunctioning.
This could be:
- Rear reading lamp module
- Roof lamp module
- Right / left vanity mirror lighting.
