Headlamp / bulb, replacing
Removal
Removing the headlamp
- Switch off the ignition
- Set the switch for external lighting to zero
- Remove the nut from the headlamp wiper
- Remove the headlamp wiper
- Remove the bumper cover on the relevant side. Remove the clips for the grille. See Casing Service and Repair
- Remove the upper screws from the guide for the bumper cover
- Remove the lower front screw. Slacken off the rear screw.
- Tension the guide. Remove the screw on the outside of the headlamp
- Carefully tension the casing. Remove the innermost screw from the headlamp
- Remove the uppermost screws from the headlamp
- Apply tape as protection above the casing at the headlamp.
- Carefully pry out the casing. Position the lower edge of the end of the casing on the guide. Hold the cover in position
- Release the headlamp
- Pull off the washer hose
- Separate and remove the connectors
- Remove the headlamp

Installation
Installing the headlamp
- Install the headlamp wiper motor. See Motor, headlamp wiper, replacing Service and Repair
- Position the headlamp
- Position the washer hose through the hole on the bracket for the wiper motor
- Pull out the top edge of the casing. Position the headlamp
- Thread in the upper screws
- Check the position of the air bleed hoses
- Pull the casing down from the guide
- Thread in the outer and inner screws
- Press in the headlamp. Tighten the upper screws
- Tighten the outer and inner screws
- Install the holder and guide for the cover
- Install the bumper cover. See Casing Service and Repair
- Install the headlamp wiper arm
- Install the nut
- Check and adjust the headlamp beam. See Headlamps, aligning Adjustments.
