Checking the cable

Hint: The fault could also have been caused by the windshield wipers sticking.

Check the cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #16B and motor (6/1) terminal #3. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See Checking wiring and terminals. Check the connector.
If no other faults are found try a new windshield wiper motor (6/1).
Remedy as necessary.

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.








- Connect the connectors, install the components, etc.
- Ignition on.
Activate windscreen wipers, intermittent position.
Read the value.
The value should alternate between the two positions "rest position" and "operating position".
