Using tensioner 9995659
Tensioner 999 5659 Tension caliper 999 5659 Tension Caliper is used when working with the suspension. It is vital that the screwed joints for the rubber bushings are tightened in the normal position (in the same position as when the car is on the ground and has three people in the car and a full fuel tank).
The tensioner relieves the pressure on the components in the suspension when removing / installing. The tool is secured to the rear axle with mounting 999 5740 Mounting used with -5659 and -5972 C-version 999 5740 Mounting Used With -5659 and -5972 C-Version. This means that the lift stability is not affected during work.

Install

- the mounting 999 5740 Mounting used with -5659 and -5972 C-version 999 5740 Mounting Used With -5659 and -5972 C-Version on the sub-frame.

Install:
- the threaded rod 999 5659 Tension caliper 999 5659 Tension Caliper on mounting 999 5740 Mounting used with -5659 and -5972 C-version 999 5740 Mounting Used With -5659 and -5972 C-Version Secure the tool using the screw as illustrated
- the mounting 999 5740 Mounting used with -5659 and -5972 C-version 999 5740 Mounting Used With -5659 and -5972 C-Version on the sub-frame
Note! Clean the surfaces of the sub-frame where the two large nuts are to be located.
Install:
- the rails 5740-1 on the control arms
- the tensioner.
Note! The right-hand control arm has a different hole arrangement to the left-hand control arm.
Ensure that the rollers lie against the rails on both sides of the control arms.
The tensioner must be completely extended on both sides.
Raise the control arms to their normal position using the tensioner.
Normal position (2WD only)
The normal position of the rear suspension is the distance from the fender edge to the center of the wheel.
