DESCRIPTION:
The tachometer needle may get stuck between 700-2000 RPM with the ignition turned off after SW download. This may happen if the engine is running when VIDA sends a command to put the car into programming mode. After a software download, VIDA erases the DTCs, reads out data from the car and sends "PROG" and "RESET" commands. If the engine is started before VIDA is finished with the complete sequence, this symptom may appear.

SERVICE:
To avoid this issue, wait till VIDA has completed its routine before starting the engine.

The fault resolves itself when the DIM performs a new tach needle calibration at start-up.
This recalibration can be triggered by any of following events:
- After a battery reset.
- With VIDA: Read out VIN, go to "SOFTWARE" tab, click on the "ADVANCED" button. A new window
appears, turn ignition key to position 0, click on "SEND PROG" followed by a click on "SEND RESET".
- After a certain numbers of sleep cycles.
