Testing Precautions

The following precautions must be taken when performing any electronic ignition testing procedures.

1. Ensure module support base is properly grounded before energizing ignition.
2. Disconnect main relay prior to checking engine compression.
3. If required, distributor pickup assembly may be disconnected when checking compression or when engine is running.
4. Never crank engine with high tension wire disconnected from coil, or disconnect coil wire or battery cables with engine running.
5. Never ground a primary circuit.
6. Never touch wires to ground to check for presence of voltage.
