Fuel Pump: Description and Operation

The Bosch Motronic fuel injection system utilizes a centrifugal type in-tank electric fuel pump. The pump consists of a pressure limiter, roller-cell, motor armature and a non-return valve contained inside a cylindrical chamber. Pump operation is controlled by management unit switches through a relay. A safety circuit prevents pump operation when the engine is not running.
