DTC 83: No VSP Signal1. Test-drive the vehicle and monitor the VSP signal with the HDS.
Is the VSP signal OK ?
YES - The system is OK at this time. Clear the DTC.
NO - Go to step 2.
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then disconnect the TPMS control unit connector B (22P).
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. Measure the voltage between the TPMS control unit connector B (22P) terminals No. 20 and body ground.
Does voltage pulse from 0 to about 5 V or more?
YES - Check for loose wires or poor connections at the TPMS control unit connectors. If necessary, substitute a known-good TPMS control unit and recheck.
NO - Go to step 5.
5. Disconnect the PCM connector B (56P).
6. Check for continuity between TPMS control unit connector B (22P) terminals No. 20 and the PCM connector B (56P) terminals No. 26.
Is there continuity?
YES - The system is OK at this time.
NO - Repair open in the wire between TPMS control unit and PCM.
