Center Console Disassembly/Reassembly

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; 888-424-6857

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Take care not to scratch the center console or the related parts.

1. Remove the center console Center Console Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the center console armrest Center Console Armrest Removal/Installation.

3. Pull up the center console tray (A) from the center console (B).






4. Pull out the center console rear trim (A) to detach the clips.






5. Remove the screw (A), then pull out the passenger's console panel (B) to detach the clips (C, D) and release the hooks (E), then remove it.






6. Pull out the latch hole trim (A) to release the hooks (B), then remove it.






7. Remove the screws (A, B), then pull out the driver's console panel (C) to detach the clips (D, E) and release the hooks (F), then remove it.






8. Remove the screws (A, B), then remove the center console rear bracket (C).






9. Remove the armrest hinge (A).

1. Remove the screws (B, C).

2. Disconnect the USB sub cord connector (D).

3. Detach the harness clip (E) and the connector clip (F).

4. Remove the armrest hinge away from the console box (G).





10. Remove the screws (A, B), then remove the center console driver's bracket (C) and the center console bracket (D) away from the console box (E) as shown.





NOTE: If you are only disassembly the center console, go to step12. If you are doing further removing proceed to step 11.

Audio pocket removal

11. Remove the audio pocket (A) from the dashboard.

1. Remove the screws.

2. Pull out the audio pocket, and disconnect the front accessory power socket connector (B), the driver's seat heater switch connector (C) and the front passenger's seat heater switch connector (D).

3. Remove the pocket by pushing it to the left.





12. Assemble the console in the reverse order of disassembly, and note these items:

- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
- Make sure the USB sub cord is not pinched and routed properly.
- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
