Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2703

DTC 2703:

Aircon Diag

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- This navigation DTC set when a common error between the climate control unit and the audio-navigation unit (open or short) is detected.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.
- If the A/C system does not work properly, do the A/C system troubleshooting.
- Make sure you run the diagnostic with the ignition switch in the ON (II) position as this DTC sets if the test is run with the ignition switch in the ACCESSORY (I) position.

1. Clear the hard error code.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).

3. Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu Navigation System Diagnostic Mode.

4. Check the System Links.

Is the Aircon icon red?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

6. Disconnect these items:

- Audio-Navigation unit connector F (20P)
- Climate control unit connector A (40P) and connector B (14P)

7. Check for continuity between body ground and audio-navigation unit connector F (20P) terminals No. 4, No. 5, No. 10, and No. 14 individually.





Are there continuity?

YES -

Repair a short to body ground in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit, and recheck.�

NO -

Go to step 8.

8. Check for continuity between the terminals of audio-navigation unit connector F (20P) according to the table.









Is there continuity between any of the terminals?

YES -

Repair a short in the wires between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit.�

NO -

Go to step 9.

9. Check for continuity between climate control unit connector A (40P), connector B (14P), and audio-navigation unit connector F (20P) according to the table.









Is there continuity?

YES -

Replace the climate control unit Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck.�

NO -

Repair an open in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit, and recheck.�
