Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Lay a workshop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
- Eject all the discs before remove the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD player's load mechanism.
- If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), and enter them into the new audio-navigation unit.
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio-navigation unit.
2. Remove the driver's inner dashboard trim Driver's Inner Dashboard Trim Removal/Installation, and the passenger's dashboard trim Passenger's Dashboard Trim Removal/Installation.
3. Remove the console lower trim (A) and the bolts (B), then pull out the audio-navigation unit (C).
4. Disconnect the connectors (D), then remove the audio-navigation unit.
5. Remove the climate control unit Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation.
6. Remove the bolts (A) and the radio brackets (B).
7. Remove the screws and audio-navigation unit (C) from the audio-navigation panel (D).
8. Remove the interface dial Service and Repair.
9. Install the audio-navigation unit in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
- If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, remove the HDD HDD Removal/Installation.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about patches for the navigation system. Apply any prescribed patches to the new audio-navigation unit.
10. Enter the new audio-navigation unit anti-theft codes.
11. Park the vehicle outside, and do the GPS initialization.
12. Give the new anti-theft codes to the client.
