Front Seat Linkage Disassembly/Reassembly

Driver's Seat Cushion Frame Disassembly/Reassembly

- Check the operation of the driver's seat position sensor after any of these actions Driver's Seat Position Sensor Operation Check:
- Driver's seat position sensor replacement
- Cover plate (front side of driver's seat slide rail) replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Apply multipurpose grease to the sliding portions and pivot portions of the seat tracks.





Passenger's Seat Cushion Frame Disassembly/Reassembly

Do the front passenger's seat weight sensor initialization ODS Unit Initialization after front passenger's seat cushion frame replacement.

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Apply multipurpose grease to the sliding portions of the seat tracks.





Left Seat Track/Slide Motor, Right Seat Track/Slide Gearbox, Slide Joint Cable, and Up-down Motors Removal/Installation

- Check the operation of the driver's seat position sensor after any of these actions Driver's Seat Position Sensor Operation Check:
- Driver's seat position sensor replacement
- Cover plate (front side of driver's seat slide rail) replacement

- Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization ODS Unit Initialization after front passenger's seat frame replacement.:
- Front passenger's seat replacement (including any seat components)
- Replacement of the seat weight sensors
- After a vehicle collision

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the seat-back Front Seat Disassembly/Reassembly.

3. Remove the seat cushion cover/pad from the seat cushion frame Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement.

4. Disconnect each motor connector, then remove these items from the slide/up-down adjuster:

- Outer height cover
- Inner height cover
- Recline inner cover
- Center inner cover
- Anchor wire
- Power seat control unit (driver's seat)
- Harness sock
- Power seat harness
- Seat cushion frame
- Seat cushion springs
- Harness bracket
- Floor connector bracket (driver's seat without navigation)
- Blower motor
- Seat belt buckle

5. Remove the screws, then remove the protector (A).






6. Remove the front bracket mounting nuts and rear pivot bolts, then remove the left seat track/slide motor (A) and right seat track/slide gearbox (B) from the up-down adjuster (C).





7. Disconnect each end of the slide joint cable (D) from the slide gearbox and slide motor.

8. Remove the nuts, then remove the rear bracket (A) and anchorage bracket (B) from the left seat track (C).

9. Remove the nuts, then remove the rear bracket (A) on each side and anchorage bracket (B) on the passenger's seat from the right seat track (C).

10. Remove the retainer (A) and washer (B) from the up-down screw (C). The front up-down motor is shown; the rear up-down motor is similar.






11. Remove the spring pin (A) from the bracket (B) and up-down motor (C). The front up-down motor is shown; the rear up-down motor is similar.






12. Pull the up-down motor (A) up, and remove the motor by turning it clockwise. The front up-down motor is shown; the rear up-down motor is similar.






13. Remove the nut (A), stopper (B), and bushings (C) from the link (D).

14. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Before installing the seat tracks (A) to the up-down adjuster, position of both seat tracks should be aligned:
- Connect the slide joint cable (B) to the right slide gearbox (C).
- Manually slide the right seat track fully rearward by rotating the inner cable (D).
- Disconnect the slide joint cable.
- Connect the slide joint cable to the slide motor, then slide the left seat track fully rearward in the same way as the right side.
- Apply medium strength liquid thread lock to the pivot bolts before reinstallation.
- Apply multipurpose grease to the sliding portions and pivot portions of the seat tracks and up-down adjuster.
- Check operations of the slide adjuster and the up-down adjuster.
