Sunvisor Removal/Installation
Special Tools Required
- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the sunvisor or the headliner.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
1. From both sides, release the tabs (A) with the appropriate trim tool from the bracket (B).
2. Turn the sunvisor cap (A), then remove the cap from the bracket (B).
3. Remove the sunvisor (A).
1. Remove the screws with a TORX T25 bit.
2. Remove the sunvisor from the body and the holder (B).
3. Disconnect the vanity mirror light connector (C).
4. Push the hook (A) with a flat-tip screwdriver, and turn the holder (B) 90 °, then pull it out.
5. Install the sunvisor in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the side curtain airbag has deployed, replace the sunvisor, along with the other parts listed for side curtain airbag deployment Service and Repair.
- To prevent the side curtain airbags from deploying improperly and possibly causing injury, inspect the removed pieces and replace them if they have any of the following damage:
- Any cracks in the sunvisor stay bracket (A)
- Any bends or cracks in the sunvisor stay shaft (B)
- Any cracks in the sunvisor base (C)
- Any cracks or breakage in the vanity mirror base (D)
- Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
