Brake Booster Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair




Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Replacement

1. Remove the air cleaner housing cover Service and Repair.

2. Release the hooks (A), and move the under-hood fuse/relay box (B) aside. Do not disconnect the fuse/relay box connectors.






3. Remove the under-hood fuse/relay box stay (A).






4. Disconnect the brake booster pressure sensor 3P connector (A).





5. Remove the brake booster pressure sensor (B), then disconnect the brake booster pressure sensor hose (C).

NOTE: Check for damage and deterioration of the brake booster pressure sensor hose.

6. Install the brake booster pressure sensor in the reverse order of removal.

7. Install the under-hood fuse/relay box.

8. Start the engine, and check that the electric vacuum pump system indicator goes off Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
