DTC 93

DTC 93: Throttle Position Sensor

NOTE: If the VSA system indicator and MIL are both ON, troubleshoot the PGM-FI system first.

1. Clear the DTC.
2. Start the engine.
3. Watch the MIL.
Does the MIL stay on?
YES-Troubleshoot the PGM-FI system.
NO-Go to step 4.
4. Verify the DTC.
Is DTC 93 indicated?
YES-Go to step 5.
NO-The system is OK at this time.
5. Substitute a known-good VSA control unit.
6. Do the neutral position memorization
7. Start the engine.
8. Watch the VSA system indicator.
Does the VSA system indicator stay on?
YES-Go to step 9.
NO-Replace the VSA control unit.
9. Verify the DTC.
Is DTC 93 indicated?
YES-Replace the PCM.
NO-Troubleshoot the DTC indicated.
