DTC 93

DTC 93: Throttle Position Sensor

NOTE: If the VSA system indicator and the MIL are both ON, troubleshoot the PGM-FI system first.

1. Clear the DTC.
2. Start the engine.
3. Watch the MIL.
Does the MIL stay on?
YES-Troubleshoot the PGM-FI systems
NO-Go to step 4.
4. Verify the DTC.
Is DTC 93 indicated?
YES-Go to step 5.
NO-The system is OK at this time.
5. Substitute a known-good VSA control unit.
6. Do the neutral position memorization. Programming and Relearning
7. Start the engine.
8. Watch the VSA system indicator.
Does the VSA system indicator stay on?
YES-Go to step 9.
NO-Replace the VSA control unit.
9. Verify the DTC.
Is DTC 93 indicated?
YES-Replace the PCM.
NO-Troubleshoot the DTC indicated.
