Radio Tuner Does Not Change Stations

Special Tools Required
- Radio test harness breakout box 07AAZ-SDAA100
- Radio test harness 070AZ-SEAA200

Radio tuner does not change stations

1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Turn on the audio unit and listen for sound in each mode (AM, FM, XM)
3. Operate the tuner knob to see if the tuner changes accordingly.

Does it change?

YES - Operation is normal.

NO - Go to step 4.

4. Operate the tuner knob to see if the LCD display changes accordingly.

Does it change?

YES - Replace the audio unit.

NO - Go to step 5.

5. Remove the audio unit.

NOTE: Eject all the discs before removing the audio unit to prevent damaging the CD player's load mechanism.

6. Connect the test harness (070AZ-SEAA200A with navigation or 070AZ-SEAA200B without navigation) to radio test harness breakout box (07AAZ-SDAA100).
7. Connect the test harness (070AZ-SEAA200A with navigation or 070AZ-SEAA200B without navigation) to the printed circuit board connector.






8. Connect the ohm meter to the special tool (07AAZ-SDAA100) TUNE-A terminal and TUNE-B terminal.
9. Turn the tuner knob clockwise one click at a time. The resistance should change as follows with each turn of the knob:
100 ohms ->� infinity -> 100 ohms -> infinity -> 100 ohms

Does the resistance change as indicated?

YES - Replace the audio unit.

NO - Replace the audio-HVAC display panel.
