Programming and Relearning

VSA Sensor Neutral Position Memorization

NOTE: Do not press the brake pedal during this procedure.

Without SCS Shorting

1. Park the vehicle on a flat and level surface.
2. With the ignition switch OFF, connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A) under the driver's side of the dashboard.





3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. '07-08 models: Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the VSA modulator-control unit. If it doesn't, troubleshoot the DLC circuit.
5. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization in the VSA ADJUSTMENT with the HDS.

6. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

With SCS Shorting

1. Park the vehicle on a flat and level surface.
2. With the ignition switch OFF, connect the HDS to the date link connector (DLC) (A) under the driver's side of the dashboard.





3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. '07-08 models: Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the VSA modulator-control unit. If it doesn't, troubleshoot the DLC circuit.
5. Short the SCS circuit to body ground using the HDS.
6. Turn the ignition switch ON (II) with the brake pedal released.
7. The ABS indicator comes on for 2 seconds and goes off.
8. After the ABS indicator goes off, press and release the VSA OFF switch once within 0.5 seconds.
9. After the ABS indicator comes on, press and release the VSA OFF switch once within 0.5 seconds.
10. The VSA activation indicator blinks two times and goes off in 1 second, then the system completes the VSA sensor neutral position memorization.
11. When the ABS indicator, VSA indicator and VSA activation indicator go off, the memorizing is done. If the indicators do not go off, retry these steps.
12. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then disconnect the HDS.
