Front Impact Sensor Replacement
Removal
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
2. Remove the front inner fender Front Inner Fender Replacement.
3. Left side; remove the bolts (A), then remove the intake air resonator (B).
4. Disconnect the left or right front impact sensor 2P connector (A) on the left or right engine compartment wire harness.
5. Remove the TORX bolt (B) using a TORX T30 bit, then remove the front impact sensor (C).
Installation
1. Install the front impact sensor (A) with the new TORX bolt (B) using a TORX T30 bit. Connect the left or right front impact sensor 2P connector (C) on the left or right engine compartment wire harness.
2. Left side; install the intake air resonator (A) with the mounting bolts (B).
NOTE: Make sure the intake air resonator are connected securely.
3. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.
4. Clear any DTCs with the HDS.
5. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
6. Reinstall all removed parts.
