Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Replacement

Removal

NOTE:

- Removal of the front passenger's weight sensors must be done according to Precautions and Procedures Service and Repair.
- The front passenger's weight sensor is part of the seat frame and must be replaced as an assembly.

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Remove the front passenger's seat frame/front passenger's weight sensors as an assembly Front Seat Frame Replacement.

Installation

NOTE:

- Be sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched or interfering with other parts.
- The front passenger's weight sensor is part of the seat frame and must be replaced as an assembly.

1. Install the removed parts to the new front passenger's seat frame/front passenger's weight sensors as an assembly Front Seat Frame Replacement.

2. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.

3. Clear any DTCs with the HDS.

4. Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization.

5. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
