Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal / Installation.

2. Remove the screw, and release the hook (A), the tabs (B), and the pin (C), then remove the front cover (D).






3. Remove the recline cover (A).

1. Remove the screw, and detach the clip.

2. Release the tabs (B).

3. Pull up the cover, then release the hook (C) and the tab (D).

4. Remove the upper inner cover (E).

5. Disconnect the power seat adjustment switch connector (F) and the lumbar support switch connector (G).

6. Remove the wire harness (H) from the hooks (I).





4. Remove the center cover (A).

1. Remove the screw.

2. Release the tabs (B).

3. Pull up the cover to release the tab (C).





5. From under the seat cushion, release the hook straps (A) from the seat cushion frame spring (B), then pull back the undercover (C) of the seat-back cover.






6. Disconnect the seat cushion heater connector (A), and detach the harness clip (B).






7. Release the Velcro fasteners (A), then pull back the harness holder covers (B) fastening the side airbag harness (C) and the seat wire harness (D).






8. Remove the clip, then release the cloth (A) of the seat cushion cover from the connecting rod (B), and release the hook strips (C) from both sides of the seat cushion frame.






9. Release the hook strips (A) from under the seat cushion.






10. Remove the seat cushion cover/pad (A) from the seat frame (B).






11. Release the hooks (A) from under the seat cushion (B).






12. Pull back the edge of the seat cushion cover all the way around, and release the upholstery rings (A), then remove the seat cushion cover (B).






13. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- To prevent wrinkles when installing a seat cushion cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the clips, the hooks, and the hook strips.
- Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat cushion cover (B) to the pad wires (C) with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
- Use only original Acura replacement seat cushion covers.
