Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair




Yaw Rate-Acceleration Sensor Replacement

NOTE:

- Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.
- Do not use power tools.

1. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0).

2. Remove the center console panel Center Console Removal / Installation.

3. Remove the shift lever mounting bolts.

NOTE: Only remove items needed to gain access.

4. Remove the shift lever bracket base mounting bolts, and then disconnect the yaw rate-acceleration sensor 5P connector (A).





5. Pull out the shift lever bracket base (B) with the yaw rate-acceleration sensor (C).

6. Remove the yaw rate-acceleration sensor mounting bolts, then remove the yaw rate-acceleration sensor from the shift lever bracket base.

7. Install the yaw rate-acceleration sensor in the reverse order of removal.

8. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization Programming and Relearning.

9. Do the yaw rate-acceleration neutral position memorization for SH-AWD system Testing and Inspection.
