Rear Driveshaft Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Remove the rear wheel.
3. Pry up the stake (A) on the spindle nut (B), then remove the nut.
4. Remove the rear differential, and disconnect the inboard joint from the rear differential Rear Differential Removal.
5. Separate the rear driveshaft outboard joint from the rear hub using a soft face hammer.
6. Remove the rear driveshaft (A).
NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the wheel speed sensor (B).
- Pull on the outer joint. Do not pull on the driveshaft (C) because the joint may come apart.
7. Remove the set ring from the rear differential.
