Keyless Access System Symptom Troubleshooting - Keyless access indicator does not go off or does not come on
Keyless access indicator does not go off or does not come on
1. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
2. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
3. Check the keyless access indicator.
Does the keyless access indicator come on for 2 seconds?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Do the indicator drive circuit check Testing and Inspection. If the indicator does not come on, replace the gauge control module Service and Repair.
4. Check the immobilizer indicator.
Does the indicator blink once, then stay off?
YES -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
NO -
Go to step 5.
5. Check for DTCs in the PCU, SLOT UNIT and KEYLESS ACCESS CONTROL UNIT with the HDS.
Are there any DTCs?
YES -
Go to the indicated DTCs troubleshooting.
NO -
Go to step 6.
6. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
7. Disconnect keyless access control unit connector B (32P).
8. Wait for at least 30 seconds.
9. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
Does the keyless access indicator go off?
YES -
Go to step 10.
NO -
Replace the keyless access control unit.
10. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
11. Reconnect keyless access control unit connector B (32P).
12. Disconnect the remote slot control unit 40P connector.
13. Wait for at least 30 seconds.
14. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
Does the keyless access indicator go off?
YES -
Go to step 15.
NO -
Replace the remote slot control unit.
15. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
16. Reconnect the remote slot control unit 40P connector.
17. Disconnect power control unit connector C (36P).
18. Wait for at least 30 seconds.
19. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
Does the keyless access indicator go off?
YES -
Replace the gauge control module Service and Repair.
NO -
Replace the power control unit.
