Power Tailgate Drive Unit Replacement

1. Remove the rear pillar trim Pillar Trim.

2. Pull down the rear section of headliner Service and Repair.

3. Remove the support strut (A).






4. Disconnect the 2P and 8P connectors (B) from the drive unit (C).

5. Remove the four bolts and drive unit.

6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

- Align the marks (D) of the drive unit and arm unit to install the arm unit to the original alignment.

- After replacement, open and close the tailgate by auto operation and wait for 5 seconds. Repeat this procedure 5 times or more for proper operation.

7. Reset the power tailgate control unit Programming and Relearning.
