Rear Seat Removal/Installation

Seat-Back

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Remove the right seat-back (A).

1. Fold the right seat-back forward.

2. Release the Velcro fastener (B), and turn over the rear floor mat (C).

3. Release the Velcro fasteners (D), and pull back the seat-back cover (E), then remove the bolts.

4. Release the hooks (F) of both pivot brackets (G).





2. Remove the bolt, then remove the center pivot bracket (A).





3. If necessary, remove the bushing (B).

4. Remove the left seat-back (A).

1. Fold down the left seat-back.

2. Release the Velcro fastener (B), and turn over the rear floor mat (C).

3. Release the Velcro fastener (D), and pull back the seat-back cover (E), then remove the bolt.

4. Release the hooks (F) of the pivot bracket (G).





5. Release the pivot shaft (A) and the bushing (B) together from the center pivot bracket (C), then remove the left seat-back (D).






6. If necessary, remove the bushing (A) from the pivot shaft (B) of the left seat-back (C).





7. Remove the seat side bolster.

8. Detach the harness clip (A), and remove the bolt, then remove the pivot bracket (B).





9. Install the seat-back in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- If the clip is damaged or stress-whitened, replace it with a new one.
- Push the clip and the hooks into place securely.

Seat Cushion

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Fold down both seat-backs.

2. Release the Velcro fasteners from both seat-backs. Pull back the Velcro fasteners, then attach them on the rear floor mat. Pull back the front area of the rear floor lid, and detach the clips, then turn the front section upside down to release the hooks from both front lid supports.

3. Remove the bolt securing the seat cushion (A) from behind the left seat-back (B).





4. Raise both seat-backs.

5. While pushing down on the seat cushion (A), pull the seat hook handles (B) to release the hooks (C).





6. Pull back the seat cushion to pull out the seat belt buckles (D) from the holes in the seat cushion. Release the center seat belt buckle (E) and the center seat belt detachable anchor (F) from their slits (G), and remove it.

7. Install the seat cushion (A) in the reverse order of removal. When installing the seat cushion, first install the seat belt buckles (B) into the holes (C). Slip the center seat belt buckle (D) and the center seat belt detachable anchor (E) through the slits (F) in the seat cushion.






Seat Side Bolster

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

1. Remove the seat cushion.

2. Remove the rear seat belt lower anchor from the body.

3. Detach the clips and release the hook (A), then remove the seat belt side cover (B). Slip the rear seat belt (C) out through the slit (D) in the cover.






4. Remove the bolt securing the seat side bolster (A).





5. Fold down the seat-back.

6. Remove the seat side bolster (A).

1. Lift the seat side bolster up to release the hooks (B).

2. Pass the rear seat belt (C) entirely in through a hole in the seat side bolster.





7. Install the seat side bolster in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Guide the belts over the front of the seat side bolster as you install the bolster.
- Make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belts before attaching the seat side bolster.
