Read Measuring Value Block (VAG 1551 Function 08)

Manually controlled A/C

NOTE: One measuring value blocks with 4 measuring display fields each are used.


If printer is switched ON, display is automatically printed out.
- Before reading measuring value block, check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory and eliminate/repair all malfunctions.
- Leave engine running after checking DTC memory.
- Make sure VAG 1551 scan tool address word 08, "AC/Heating Electronics" is selected.

1 - A/C compressor switch OFF conditions, see images below.

3 - A/C compressor speed
4 - Compressor drive belt slippage in percent (%)


NOTE: Compressor drive belt slippage of up to 30% is permissible. Belt slippage greater than 30%, but less than 60%, results in the A/C compressor switching OFF for approximately 70 seconds. If belt slippage greater than 30%, but less than 60% occurs 10 times within one driving period, the A/C compressor is no longer switched ON for that driving period. Belt slippage greater than 60% results in the compressor being switched off for the entire period.
