Fan Blade: Service and Repair


Viscous fan, removing and installing

Removing
- Remove bumper. [1][2]Procedures
- Move lock carrier to service position. [1][2]Procedures





- Hold viscous fan pulley with 2-hole pin wrench 3212 and unscrew viscous fan using open-end spanner 3312 (left-hand thread).
- Carefully remove viscous fan from above.

Installing





- Hold pulley for viscous fan using 3212 spanner wrench and tighten viscous fan using 3312 spanner wrench and 1331 torque wrench (left-handed thread).
- Install in the opposite order to removing. When installing, note the points:
- Install lock carrier. [1][2]Procedures
- Install bumper. [1][2]Procedures
- Install noise insulation.


Tightening torque
Viscous Fan:
1331 torque wrench and 3312 open-end spanner 37 Nm
1331 torque wrench without 3312 open-end spanner 70 Nm
