DTC 18158

DTC 18158 / P1750

Note for DTC 18158 / P1750:
^ Conditions for fault recognition: Battery voltage lower than 7 Volt.
^ In case of power loss at terminal 30, the application values are lost, meaning that the Transmission Control Module (TCM) must relearn these values at a new start-up. During this new "re-learning" the shift quality can be not as good as normal
^ Battery monitoring differentiates between four areas: (U = battery voltage) First U < 7 Volt => Transmission goes into mechanical backup with non-active control module; Second 7 Volt< U < 9 Volt= Transmission range is held for about 2.5 sec., if U is then still in this range, the transmission goes into mechanical backup with non-active control module; Third 9 Volt < U < 16 Volt =^voltage is OK; Fourth U > 16 Volt =^transmission goes into mechanical backup with non-active control module
