Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory, Checking

- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" in selection. Engine should be idling. Scan Tool Connecting

NOTE: If the engine will not start, crank it for at least 5 seconds with the starter and then always leave the ignition on.







Display on VAS 5051:
- Under -1- select diagnostic function "02 - Check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory".







Display on VAS 5051:
1. Content of the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory:
- 0 Faults recognized
or
- X Faults recognized

2. DTCs
- DTC code
- DTC location
- DTC type

A. If malfunctions were recognized:
- Print out screen content or self-diagnosis report.
- Exit function "02 - Check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory" by pressing square button.







Display on VAS 5051:
- Repair malfunction(s) as specified in DTC table.
- Reselect diagnostic function "02 - Check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory" and erase DTC memory. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory, Erasing
- Select diagnostic function "06 - End output" in selection. Ending Output

B. If no malfunction was recognized:
- Select diagnostic function "06 - End output" in selection. Ending Output
