6) No mechanical switch; a specific value from the throttle and accelerator position sensors -G79-/-G185- is set in the Engine Control Module (ECM). Signal transmission from Engine Control Module (ECM) to Transmission Control Module takes place over CAN-bus.

Note on DTC 18112 / P1704:
^ With the brake pedal depressed and simultaneous full depression of the accelerator pedal as far as Kickdown (wide-open throttle) this fault can be displayed erroneously.
