Oil Level, Checking

Test Prerequisites

Minimum engine oil temperature: 60° C (140° F).

Vehicle in a level position.

After shutting off the engine, wait a few minutes to allow the oil to drain back into the oil pan.

- Pull out oil dipstick, wipe off with a clean cloth and reinsert the dipstick again until seated.

- Pull out the dipstick again and check the oil level.

Range of markings on the dipstick:





a Oil must not be added.
b Oil may be topped off. After topping off, oil may be in range - a -.
c Oil must be added. After topping off, it is sufficient if oil level is somewhere in range - b - (shaded area).

Oil level must not exceed mark - a - on oil dipstick.
