Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory, Erasing

NOTE: If the DTC memory cannot be erased, check the DTC memory again and repair the malfunction.

Requirements
- DTC memory checked. Diagnostic Mode 03 - Read DTC Memory
- All malfunctions repaired

After successful DTC memory check:







Display on VAS5051
- In selection -1-, click on diagnostic function "05 - Check DTC memory".

1 no indication (before erasing)
or
DTC memory erased

NOTE: If indication -1- appears in display field: "DTC memory has not yet been checked", the work sequence was not adhered to correctly. The DTC memory can only be erased if it was checked before.

2 - Note: Perform function?

NOTE: Data is being erased.

- Press on "OK"-button in display -2-.
- End function "05 - Erase DTC memory" by pressing <- button.
- Check DTC memory again after repair work.

NOTE: This causes DTCs to be erased that were stored during repair of malfunction, e.g. because harness connectors were disconnected.

- If DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code again. Generate Readiness Code
