Fuel Injectors

Removing


Fuel system is under pressure! Before opening system, place rags around the connection area. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.

- Disconnect fuel line - 2 -, pull up release button to do so.





• Ignore - 1 -.

- Remove intake manifold and fuel rail => [ Intake Manifold ] Intake Manifold.

- Pull off retaining clip and remove relevant fuel injector.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Replace O-rings at all opened connection points. (Never remove plastic cap from valve head to replace front O-ring - lift off O-ring over plastic cap).

• Lubricate O-rings with clean engine oil.

• Check that fuel injectors are installed in correct position.

• Check clips for proper seating.

• Place fuel rail with secured fuel injectors onto intake manifold, and apply uniform pressure to press it in.
